TWG Leadership
Charles C. Weathers, Sr. is a motivational speaker, instructor, author, and coach who brings energy, humor, and inspiration to every event. His ability to engage, educate, and entertain audiences at all levels has made him a popular keynote speaker for nonprofit, faith-based, government, academic, and private sector audiences nationwide.His background includes two decades of board leadership and service, 15 years as a fundraising professional, and six years in the private sector. In addition, he has more than a decade of experience as a successful business entrepreneur. Weathers is a decorated veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Weathers has completed the Carver Policy Governance® Academy , is a graduate of the Nonprofit Leadership Institute at Francis Marion University and serves on the national Independent Sector’s Advisory Group on Nonprofit Effectiveness. Charles C. Weathers, Sr. on LinkedIn
Anita M. Garrett serves as CEO for The Weathers Group. In her role, she oversees the organization’s operations, marketing, business development, and consulting services. Her areas of expertise are resource development, capacity-building, and community mediation.
Since joining The Weathers Group in 2001, Garrett has successfully consulted with hundreds of organizations throughout the United States to facilitate public/private partnerships, conduct philanthropic research, provide strategic planning services and develop public policy. Garrett is a graduate of the Nonprofit Leadership Institute at Francis Marion University and the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Columbia program that provides existing and emerging leaders with opportunities to enhance their civic knowledge and networks. Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, Garrett spent the majority of her childhood in Cincinnati, Ohio. She earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of South Carolina, serves as a guardian ad litem with Richland County CASA and is a certified mediator. Anita M. Garrett on LinkedIn
